Not Records Tapes (NRT) is the label consisting of music produced by Mike Alvarez and associates.  The music production company is a part of NRT Entertainment Group (NRTEG).

NRT Entertainment Group is a multi-faceted entertainment company involved in music, television and film. The enterprising business, headed by Mike Alvarez, branches out into two companies, Not Record Tapes and NRT Films, that concentrate on developing and promoting music projects and developing and producing film projects.

The label Not Records Tapes seeks to:

• promote freethinkers
• help keep music with an independent mind set available to the public

Not Records Tapes accomplishes this by:

• Producing music for use in feature film soundtrack projects or for licensing consideration to other companies in the U.S. and overseas, and for fun
• Presenting and promoting new artists and/or their songs
  

Our beginning years advanced the careers of artists during the early years of their careers such as:

• Daniel Johnston
• The Reivers
• Haunted Garage

We continue to educate listeners about established, yet obscure music influences such as Roky Erickson, Texacala Jones and many others.

Today NRT is producing, promoting and working with independent artists in Los Angeles, Texas and throughout the U.S.

Mail Order

NRT sells cassettes, CDs, videos, with an independent style via mail order produced in-house or by other companies.
