Based in Los Angeles, filmmaker, guitarist, singer, songwriter and music producer Alvarez spent lots of time in Austin.  A member of Max and the

Makeups in the '80s, Alvarez also did production sessions with the True Believers, Roky Erickson, Daniel Johnston and others.  He on the road with his latest psychedelic folk/rock disc, "2324."  A 3D documentary by Tom Koester, "2324: The Making of an Underground Rock Album," will premiere in Hollywood next month.  The music on "2324" runs the gamut from outside to rocking.  The music and the lyrics will provoke thought.
